Mark Langford serves as the Executive Director of the North Texas Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, one of the largest SBDC networks in the nation, where he provides strategic leadership for a team dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start, grow, and strengthen their businesses across North Texas.

With more than three decades of experience in small business consulting, entrepreneurship, and organizational leadership, Mark has devoted his career to advancing economic development through business growth and innovation. Since becoming Executive Director in 2011, he has led the Network in delivering high-impact advising, training, and technical assistance that helps small businesses access capital, create jobs, increase sales, and build long-term resilience.

Prior to his current role, Mark served as Associate Director of the North Texas SBDC Network and ten years with the Collin SBDC, where he worked directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners across a wide range of industries. His extensive experience advising businesses at every stage of development has made him a trusted resource for entrepreneurs, community leaders, economic development organizations, financial institutions, and public-sector partners.

Before joining the SBDC program, Mark was an auditor with Ernst & Young, where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis, business operations, and organizational performance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts in Organization and Strategy from The University of Texas at Dallas.

A frequent speaker and advocate for small business, Mark is recognized for his practical, results-oriented approach to business development, strategic planning, capital access, and entrepreneurial ecosystem building. He is passionate about equipping entrepreneurs with the resources, knowledge, and connections they need to achieve sustainable success while strengthening the economic vitality of the communities they serve.
