Dr. Darryl Williams

Vice Provost, Dallas College

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Darryl A. Williams is an accomplished higher education executive with more than 27 years of leadership experience advancing student success, strategic enrollment growth, and institutional transformation across public, private, and for-profit institutions. Recognized for his collaborative leadership style and data-informed approach to decision-making, Dr. Williams has successfully led large-scale initiatives that strengthen enrollment outcomes, improve student persistence and completion, and align academic programming with workforce and community needs.

Dr. Williams currently serves as Vice Provost for the School of Business, Hospitality, and Global Trade at Dallas College, one of the largest community college systems in the United States. In this role, he provides strategic leadership for a diverse portfolio of academic and workforce programs. He works closely with faculty, college leaders, and regional employers to design innovative, workforce-aligned programs that expand career pathways, strengthen industry partnerships, and support regional economic mobility.

Previously, Dr. Williams served as Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management for the City Colleges of Chicago, where he led districtwide enrollment recovery strategies that reversed a 23 percent year-over-year decline in new student enrollment and produced sustained growth across multiple terms.

Throughout his career, Dr. Williams has partnered closely with boards of trustees, presidents, senior executives, faculty leaders, and community stakeholders to advance institutional priorities and student-centered innovation. His leadership is grounded in collaboration, transparency, and a deep commitment to student success. He is widely recognized for building high-performing teams and developing systems that strengthen student support, institutional effectiveness, and workforce outcomes.

Dr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Elmhurst College, a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management from DeVry University, a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University.
