Annie Evans has served as Chief Executive Director of SouthFair Community Development Corporation since 2011, overseeing the organization’s operations, strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, and multimillion-dollar development projects. Under her leadership, SouthFair has built more than 40 single-family homes, managed approximately $12 million in funding, established a housing counseling program, and created a rent-to-own initiative that transitioned 15 families into homeownership.

With more than 20 years of nonprofit management experience, Annie has expanded SouthFair’s work into commercial and economic development while championing innovative approaches to nonprofit sustainability. Most recently, she led SouthFair’s entry into social enterprise through Community Donut Corporation and its first-of-its-kind nonprofit franchise relationship with Shipley Do-Nuts, creating an earned-revenue model designed to reinvest business proceeds into SouthFair’s mission and the South Dallas community.

Annie holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in Urban Affairs from the University of Texas at Arlington.
